Jessica Fogle: Links

Other places to find me...

My Myspace Page!
Come see my myspace page, and be my friend!
You Tube (videos from Gallery Cabaret 2008)
This link will take you to a video of "The Psychology of Holes", but you can also google me on You Tube (you tube me?) and there's a video there for "PreComprehension" and a couple super new songs too (called "Compass" and "False Confidence"). If they don't pop up, try typing numbers after my name-"Jessica Fogle 1", "Jessica Fogle 2", and "Jessica Fogle 3" for instance. (which is all of them, other than this link, which is Jessica Fogle 4).

Musicals/Film

Were the World Mine (an indie film I wrote music for)
Visit the website for this film--from this link, you can find it's myspace page, which has a few songs on it (you may recognize my melodic style, but it's a musical collaboration btw me and Tim Sandusky, who did the awesome orchestration! not like my solo-piano sound at all!) Click on my "store" link to buy the album directly (or Amazon, iTunes). You can also visit Netflix or Blockbuster.com to rent the DVD, which released in May 2009.
Benjamin Starling-the musical
This is a site created by my graduate school collaborator Danny Pitt Stoller, with info about our musical "Benjamin Starling". He's put two of our songs on the site--which are sung by some amazing NYC talents, including Megan McGinness (broadway performer, recently played Belle in Beauty and the Beast).

Venues I love

The Orphanage - an artists' collective
Coolest place in Chicago. Trees grow out of tables, art on every wall, great music, amazing vegetarian buffets each week, hula hooping and other bizarre happenings. If you didn't grow up in the 60's, this may be as close as you can get (in an authentic way, no gimmicks or imitation). Go there.
Gallery Cabaret
Best divey bar for free music in Chicago. Haven for real-piano lovers and open mic whores. Cheap drinks and friendly audiences most nights. Singer-songwriter night is my personal favorite.
The Hideout
I've seen a friend play here, and I've played here once myself--I immediately loved it both times. Great sound, great listening room, great stage, and stellar old upright piano that actually sounds great!
